The narrowest in the range, and what that suits

At 1280mm wide the 1250 is the smallest opening Firez make, which makes it the model that fits where the wall does not allow a statement width — a chimney breast, a narrower sitting room, or a media wall that has to leave room for storage either side of the fire.

Its depth is the standard 333mm, so the wall it sits in has to be built out at least that far plus framing. If depth rather than width is the constraint, the Slimline models solve that instead — they run at 207mm.

The next width up is the 1500 at 1530mm, a 250mm jump. Worth putting both widths on the wall in tape before choosing, because the difference reads as much larger in a small room than it does on paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

How wide an opening does the Firez 1250 need?

The fire is 1280mm wide and 616.5mm high, so the aperture is built to that plus the tolerance and framing the installation needs. Its depth is 333mm.

Is there anything narrower in the range?

Not in these models — the 1250 is the narrowest of the panoramic range. If the wall is tighter than that, the design usually changes rather than the fire.
